Natalie Morales: Diet and Exercise

Today cohost Natalie Morales is ultra fit.  She wakes up at the crack of dawn (4:30am to be exact), hosts a national news show and has two kids to raise, but how does she always look so perfect?  According to Natalie it’s all about starting the day with a healthy breakfast and always squeeze in a daily workout.  She told Women’s Health Magazine,
“I feel better all day if I start off by eating healthy. Breakfast is simple: multigrain toast with natural peanut butter, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, or healthy cereal. I avoid refined sugar—can’t risk the crash—and stick to honey and agave. During the show I nibble on fruits and veggies; I may have a doughnut, too, but I try to avoid them. That and a good dose of Al Roker’s humor and I’m jazzed for hours.”
That’s a very healthy breakfast, and nibbling on fruits and veggies while at work is key to not going home and ‘pigging out’ on junk food.  Natalie also spoke about her regular workout routine:
“Exercising keeps my energy up and helps me sleep better at night. It may be a short run when I pick up my son from school or a few squats while I’m holding the baby. I also have regular one-hour workouts five days a week. My new routine involves running or a class that mixes yoga, Pilates, ballet, and strength training. Mixing it up keeps my muscles challenged.”
Seems like there are loads of celebrities these days that practice Pilates and/or yoga.  Although they aren’t the biggest of fat burning exercises they definitely tone and strengthen as well as keep the mind balanced.

I heard that Natalie goes to Physique 57 in New York. That is one of the spin offs of Lotte Berk. In LA the big one is Bar Method which have a lot of celebrity students.
