One of Glee‘s favorite cheerleaders, Naya Rivera, certainly has one sexy physique. Of course, she has to in order to play the role of a cheerleader on such a popular show.
Ever wonder how she does it? She’s spilling the beans talking all about her fitness routines.
One of Naya’s favorite exercises to do is the squat, probably because she’s always showing off those gorgeous legs in her tiny little cheer-leading outfit when she’s filming Glee.
“Legs and butt get the most attention in the Cheerios uniform, so those are my target areas. Lots of squats!”
That said, her least favorite exercise is the stomach crunch. She hates them so much that she does planks instead. Both the traditional and side planks help keep her abs in shape.
But, Naya hasn’t always been this fit or athletic. When she was in high school, her father wanted her to be more athletic so she tried softball. However, at 12-years-old and afraid of the ball, she didn’t last long at that particular fitness venture.
Now, she’s not only a little more athletic and willing to exercise, but she finds other ways to stay healthy as well and, since she loves food so much, this means making healthy food choices.
When we did the Glee Live tour, I had to have hummus and guacamole on hand for healthy snacks.”
