Nicola Roberts’ Skinny Secret?

Nicola Roberts, one of the Girls Aloud singers alongside Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh, is getting her fair share of criticism about her small frame. During London Fashion Week she finally spoke out and said it’s ridiculous how people are calling her too thin. She said she has a naturally small frame and doesn’t starve herself nor does she exercise every day. She said,
“It’s irresponsible for people to obsess over it because I don’t want girls to feel they have to be the same shape.”
In previous interviews the 24-year-old has said that she doesn’t even like to go to the gym and the only form of exercise she gets is from the help of her two pet pugs, Ronnie and Reggie. She explained,
“I’ve never been a gym bunny,” she laughs. “Walking the dogs is my only exercise – that’s enough for me.”
Even though she’s a tiny size 6 she’s had this small frame ever since she’s been in the girl pop group. Similar to Victoria Beckham or Brittnay Murphy, Nicola is getting shunned for her natural body type that happens to be on the thin side.

Don’t be fooled. Walking is one of the best exercises you can practice because it fits into your lifestyle. For Nicola that means walking with her dogs. Studies show that dieters lost more weight and kept it off more successfully when they included walking as part of a lifestyle program vs those who went to the gym. The simple reason why the “gym” folks failed is because they didn’t follow through and dropped out. So enough chit chat… walk on!
