According to In Touch Weekly, Nicole Richie is using Adderall for weight loss. Adderall, a prescription drug in the same family as crystal meth or “speed”, is typically used for attention deficit disorder but is also an appetite suppressant.
“She loves Adderall because she stays awake, and it makes her not want to eat,” says a close pal. “And she takes it even more when she’s filming.”
Adderall is a short-term fix; once off the drug, users quickly gain the weight back. It is also highly addictive and users develop tolerance requiring increasing doses to maintain effect. Not surprisingly, a pal says Nicole increased her dosage of Adderall: “She’s taking more and more lately.”
Adderall abuse is a prescription for disaster…
