Reese Witherspoon’s YogaHop Workout

Reese Witherspoon is often found (thanks to the paparazzi) running in the neighborhood to get her daily bout of exercise. However, Reese told Shape Magazine that she has recently started taking a class called YogaHop. During a typical 90-minute class there is upbeat music playing such as pop and hip hop instead of the traditional zen-like music in regular yoga classes. The class mixes yoga poses with this high energy music. During the first hour, you move from one pose to the next after just a few breaths to get the heart rate going, and then during the last 30 minutes the pace slows down and you hold poses for a longer time period to work on flexibility. Matthew Reyes is the instructor and co-owner at Reese’s Santa Monica studio he said,
“Reese looked more toned after just one month of sessions. At first Reese did these [push ups] on her knees,” says Reyes. “Now she can do full push-ups, and she never sits out a set.”
YogaHop will most likely be a hot new trend for the Hollywood celebrities. We’ll have to wait and see.
