Spandau Ballet: Workout

The 80s rock band, Spandau Ballet is ready to make their comeback. In just five weeks the band is back together and will begin touring. In the US their biggest hit back in the day was the song, Only When You Leave. Now the rockers are getting in shape and being that they are in their late 40s, that is easier said than done. Lead singer Tony Hadley has been seen running frequently and goes to the gym regularly but he can’t seem to get rid of the tire around the middle. On the other hand, guitarist Gary Kemp invested in an expensive carbon-frame bike and thanks to his 6am workouts he has lost 14 pounds. He told Cycling Weekly,
“I’ve become passionate about cycling in a short space of time. I’m so addicted to this now that there is not a road I drive on in my car where I’m not thinking, ‘this would be great on a bike.’”
Kemp is on a winning streak; he’s fit, his band is getting back together and last month he completed the grueling 102-mile Circuit of the Cotswolds bike race. Fans eagerly await the Spandeau Balletcomeback tour scheduled for the end of October.
