The former Spice Girl, Mel-B, was on the Ellen Degeneres show this week to demonstrate some of the new moves off of her new fitness DVD. She told Ellen that while she was pregnant with her second child she gained a total of 60 pounds. After the birth she had to learn how to get a workout done while the kids were taking a nap. At the same time, she didn’t want to go out and buy expensive workout equipment or schedule times with a trainer. So what is a Spice Girl to do?
Well, after a few months of having her girlfriends come over two to three times a week and do workouts using every day products that are lying around the house, she has become a fitness expert and her DVD, Totally Fit, showcases these exercises. Bottled water and canned goods act as weights, and a broom is great for doing stability and strength exercises.
