Sunny Anderson’s Weight Loss of 30 Pounds

The always glowing Sunny Anderson is the host of the Food Network series, Cooking for Real. And even though her show primarily focuses on comfort foods such as grits and fried chicken she has had to learn not to eat all those yummy foods whenever she pleases. A few years ago the 5’5″ chef got up to 200 pounds which is a lot of weight for such a small frame. She has since learned to start all of her meals with a salad in order to fill up on veggies and if she eats pasta she’ll top it with capers and olive oil instead of fattening cream sauce. After a lot of hard work and dedication she lost 30 pounds! She told People magazine,
“I don’t want to deprive myself. I’m just trying not to overindulge.”
Below, she shares a tasty salad recipe that will give you plenty of fiber and even a little bit of protein.
Apple, Pear and Walnut Salad
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
2 1/2 tbsp. orange juice
1 orange, zested
1/2 cup of raisins
4 apples; try to use a variety of kinds
2 pears; red and green if possible
2/3 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
2 tbsp. extra-virin olive oil
Salt and ground black pepper
1. Whisk together the vinegar, orange juice, zest and raisins.
2. Core and cube the fruit.
3. Add fruit, walnuts and oil to the liquid mixture and throw in some salt and pepper for taste. Be sure to refrigerate one hour before serving. Serves 6 people.

television supposedly adds a size or so?. She is not the
largest 165lbs. I’ve ever seen.
