Super Size is back at McDonald’s: the 42 ounce Hugo
It’s back… Call it a McReincarnation. Shamed into oblivion by bad press and the cult hit movie “Super Size Me”, McDonald’s pulled the plug on the “super size me” line of sodas and french fries. Super-sized II, the sequel, is back at McDonalds as part of a summer promotion. The behemoth 42-ounce serving of soda, packs 410 calories and is appropriately called “Hugo.”
In a NY Times article, a McDonald’s spokeswoman defended Hugo against comparisons with the Supersize line of products saying “That’s not what this is about. You have to put it in context with the rest of our menu.” Personally, I think the name Hugo says it all… what’s next Hugo-fries?

That’s not too bad. They’ve launched the Mega Mac in Japan, that’s 4 patties, equivalent to 2 big Macs.

great link! What’s the calorie count on that monstrosity?
I guess we should prepare ourselves for the HUGO MAC…
Someone tried to scan for this info on the cell and found nothing.

I should clarify before someone thinks Hugo is ok. Hugo is bad but Mega Burger is “horrific”. At 350 yen (~$2.89 US), you have to wonder what is in those 4 patties. It’s definitely NOT 100% beef.
To put it in another prospective, too much Mc Donalds can lead to SERIOUS health consequences. Bloomberg, whom I applauded, had two stents.
