Suzy Hoover’s Weight Gain – Back to the Biggest Loser Ranch!

by Betsy on Celebs on March 31, 2010

Suzy Hoover was a contestant on the 2005 series of Biggest Loser and she lost 95 pounds while on the show. However, after she gave birth in 2008 she just couldn’t get rid of that extra baby weight and had 25 pounds to go. She decided to email the Biggest Loser Ranch and get some advice.

Lucky for her, she was invited to the ranch for a week-long program to jumpstart her weight loss while her husband and Biggest Loser winner Matt Hoover stayed home with the kids. When asked about her experience, her first response was,

“The workouts were crazy!”

Suzy had to wake up at 6am and start the day with yoga and then do a 180-minute hike. Then later she would do three more 45-minute classes. She fueled these crazy workouts with only 1,200 calories a day that were split into three meals packed with veggies.

Suzy is back home now and is five pounds lighter. She hopes to get down to 160 pounds and says that in April she and husband Matt will be heading back to the ranch again! I wonder if they pay every time they go to the ranch? That’s got to be expensive!

Celeb Diet Doc Says…
Remember you lose weight with diet and you keep it off with exercise. There is no need to go crazy with exercise to lose weight.. fact is you won’t burn off that many calories to truly make a difference. It’s what you put in your mouth that really counts. My advice is to stick with walking as your main form of exercise and you can always add other exercises later.
