Activate is a purified water infused with a vitamin and mineral blend. It’s reported that when vitamins sit in water for too long they lose their potency, so the beverage company worked around that issue by designing a unique cap that stores the vitamins. Each time the cap is twisted open, vitamins drop from the cap into the water. Activate is a five-calorie drink and comes in four different formulas:

Vitamin = Fruit punch

Immunity = Orange

Antioxidant = Berry

Energy = Lemon lime

Other things to note are that this new energy drink does contain caffeine, the sugar substitute Splenda, and has no gluten.

Results of large scale studies with vitamin supplementation have been largely disappointing. In fact, vitamin supplementation has shown possible harm to human health. While vitamin supplemented waters and drinks have a nice marketing ring to them, I highly doubt that they will improve your health in any meaningful way. However, I am sure these products will be highly successful from a marketing angle offering customers the illusion of health… but make no mistake the majority of your vitamins and nutrition should come from whole unprocessed foods.
