Trista Sutter: post baby weight loss

Trista Sutter, the former Bachelor and Bachelorette reality TV star, is on a mission to lose her post-baby weight. She recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Max, one month early by C-section due to pregnancy complications. Her pregnancy was a rough one, with Trista not only developing gestational diabetes, but also HELLP syndrome, a serious complication of preeclampsia (hypertension associated with protein in the urine) marked by elevated liver enzymes, low red blood cells and platelets. Both Trista and baby are doing fine now. The 5 foot 2 mom, lost 22 lbs so far and currently wears a size 4 and weighs 116 lbs. Her goal is to drop another 10 and get back in her skinny jeans! Ricki Lake: Diet and Weight Loss

Ricki Lake’s remarkable weight loss
is making headlines again in this week’s issue of Ok Magazine, to help publicize the premiere of her Lifetime movie, Matters of Life and Dating. If you recall Ricki was profiled on the US magazine front cover a couple months ago. At her heaviest she weighed 260 pounds in 1991, and had been on a slew of diets including South Beach, the Zone, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Atkins and the Master Cleanse. She got serious this time around on February 2 of this year in preparation for the premiere of her documentary, The Business of Being Born, at the Tribecca Film Festival. [Read more →]

Celebrities are losing weight on Dancing with the Stars

If you thought ballroom dancing was not “real exercise” think again. Us mag reveals that the celebs on Dancing with the Stars have been peeling off the pounds as they have fine tuned their dance routines.

“In three weeks of dancing, I’ve lost 5 pounds. I hope my whole body changes. I’m starting to get my waist back, and that’s a big thing after having three babies!” - Jenny Garth

“I’ve lost three pant sizes in 10 days!” - Wayne Newton

“I’ve already lost 20-some pounds! I lost a little before we started. Six or 7 more… and the six pack will come back!” - Mark Cuban

“I’ve lost 14-16 pounds. I’m actually about 7 pounds lighter than I was when I was 16 years old and training in ballet! So I don’t think I should lose any more or I’ll evaporate!” - Jane Seymour.

Hilary Swank: Workout with Power Pilates

Hillary Swank attributes her figure to exercise, power Pilates and “good genes.” She told People magazine last week, “I really appreciate exercise because I think it’s a great stress relief. I do this thing called power Pilates, which I love, love, love.” She adds,

“in the end I really have to give it up to my genes. I think I’ve been blessed with my father’s metabolism.”

Marie Osmond:Weight Loss and Diet

Marie Osmond has been dancing off the pounds as a contestant on the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars. At age 48 and the mother of eight children she is dancing up a storm with six hour practices! She revealed that she joined the show not so much to develop her dancing skills but to diet and lose weight. So far she’s peeled 3 inches off her waist. She’s taking the show all in stride and she isn’t worried about being voted off.. she quips that “25 million viewers will vote and 22 million are Osmonds!” [Read more →]

Mariah Carey has gotten noticeably slimmer in that past few months. Showing off her new trimmer figure, at the VH1’s Save the Music gala in NYC, in this purple gown she says, “I still feel like I have a way to go” but added, “I don’t feel like you have to be a size zero.
