<a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/kelly-osbournes-weight-loss-on-dancing-with-the-stars/">Kelly Osbourne</a> is not the only one who lost weight during the current season of <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/dancing-with-the-stars-weight-loss/">Dancing With The Stars</a>.  The R&amp;B singer <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/mya-11-pound-weight-loss-dwts/">Mya</a> has also lost 11 pounds and a dress size while on the show.  She originally lost 17 pounds but then gained back a few pounds of muscle as she continued training.  So now the petite star weight only 127 pounds. This week, she told the readers of <em>OK! Magazine</em> how she lost the weight.  Her dance rehearsals were anywhere from six to 12 hours a day for several days a week.  <span id="more-6544"></span>She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Aside from dancing, I do boxing workouts, I jump rope, do crunches and interval training.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>The 30-year-old said that she burned a lot of fat and gained muscle while on the show and she feels like she&#8217;s in the best shape of her life. Mya also mentioned that while on the set there was a lot of the flu going around and she did have some flu-like symptoms but she&#8217;s ok now.</p>

<p>Week after week not only celebs but also the dancers on the hit TV show <em><a href="../tag/dancing-with-the-stars/">Dancing With The Stars</a></em> transform their figures from soft to super svelte. And it&#8217;s no secret that the show&#8217;s intense practices and routines are the real reason behind the slim-down.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The dancing is the diet, but everyone is different,&#8221; professional dancer <a href="../karina-smirnoff-uses-gyrotonics/">Karina Smirnoff</a> tells <em>Life &amp; Style</em> magazine. &#8220;So if celebrities really want to get the most out of the experience, they implement a healthy diet full of protein.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-5612"></span>The 31-year-old beauty fills her daily diet with egg whites, spinach and tomato for breakfast, fruit for lunch and fish and salad for dinner. The 5-foot-5 dancer weighs only 110 pounds and says she listens to her body because there are foods her system easily digests while there are others that are harder to work off.</p>
<p>Other celebrities who have lost weight on the new season of the reality show are <a href="../tag/kelly-osbourne/">Kelly Osbourne</a> and singer <a href="../mya-11-pound-weight-loss-dwts/">Mya</a>. The 24-yeard-old Osbourne lost 14 pounds during the first 6 weeks of rehearsals and says she can feel how her body is &#8220;completely changing&#8221;.</p>
<p>Mya on the other hand says she&#8217;s not only lost weight, but she&#8217;s toned her muscles too.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;My body has gotten more toned,&#8221; she told <em>Life &amp; Style</em> when rehearsals for the show began. &#8220;I&#8217;m seeing a lot more definition, especially in my arms.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>The 30-year-old singer lost 11 pounds in 4 weeks, but still occasionally runs twice a day.</p>

<p>Hope everyone&#8217;s as excited about the premiere of season 9 of <em><a href="../tag/dancing-with-the-stars/">Dancing With The Stars</a></em> as I am! It&#8217;s always amazing seeing the body transformations of some celebrities after the gruelling training they&#8217;re put through before a new season starts.</p>
<p>Denise Richards gained 10 pounds after her mother died, but the actress went from a size 26 to a 24-inch jeans after just 6 weeks training for season 8 of the dance contest. In the same season, rapper Lil&#8217; Kim slimmed down and her fuller figure became more toned.</p>
<p>Professional dancers Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer, who have been with the show since season 2 and 7 respectively, both lost 10 pounds after partnering with their celebs.</p>

She told <em>Closer Magazine</em>,</p>

<p><span id="more-5077"></span>Kelly also said that her life has changed because of her experience on the show now that she feels healthy and strong. Apart from her daily 5-hour-long rehearsals she does Pilates twice a week. She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Pilates is amazing, my posture is so much better and I’m even starting to get muscles on my tummy – it’s incredible. I’ve become totally obsessed with Pilates, everyone should try it.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>With the <em>DWTS</em> season just beginning, we&#8217;ll have to wait and see how much more weight she loses. Let&#8217;s just hope she learns that exercise is the key and that she&#8217;ll continue dancing and doing Pilates once the show is finished.</p>

Learning to tweet before she eats helped her choose a healthier option at Starbucks, while afterwards her &#8220;tweeters&#8221; congratulated and praised her for the choice.</p>

<p>Melissa, however, shouldn&#8217;t be worried about dropping any extra pounds for her wedding after the grueling workout she was put through during her appearance on <em>Dancing with the Stars</em> recently. She stayed lean by regularly eating small meals and trained at least eight hours every day to prepare for her performances on the show. If she keeps up her healthy eating habits and only half of her daily dance training, we&#8217;re pretty sure Melissa&#8217;s body will remain sexily sculpted for the wedding.</p>
