Brooke Burke Does Green Detox

Former reality show host and model, Brooke Burke, has stepped out of the limelight to focus on being a mother and working on her business venture, modernmom.com.  Her website is dedicated to educating mothers on parenting, pregnancy, health and beauty.  In her most recent blog she wrote that she has decided to Go Green for one week as a cleanse to prepare for summer.  She wrote,

“I’ve decided to experiment and Go Green for the week. Some of my friends have been eating this way and they lost a lot of weight and had incredible energy. Eating only green foods is a great summer cleanse, a total challenge of discipline, and could kick start your healthy eating habits this summer.”

Brooke Burke’s Diet and Exercise Tips

Self Magazine caught up with former model and reality show host Brooke Burke and asked how she’s been staying in shape over the past year now that she is no longer on Dancing With The Stars.  From what she said, it’s obvious she has a very healthy approach to maintaining her weight.

“I’ve been doing pilates for about nine years – it’s a really good head-to-toe body-toning exercise. I started with my first pregnancy, and I did it through all four. I try to do it two or three times a week. But I totally believe that 90 percent of staying in shape is what you put in your mouth. I try to maintain a healthy diet. I’m super busy, which helps, and always active with my kids. I don’t have time to really go to a gym, but I try to get my cardio by walking with them.”

Kim Kardashian is going on week five of training with partner Mark Ballas for Dancing with the Stars. After a summer working out with her beau, New Orleans Saints running back and Heisman winner – Reggie Bush, she’s been hard at work on honing her dancing skills and it shows. Kim Kardashian’s Diet


Kim Kardashian, a reality tv show celeb in her family’s “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, will be putting her dance moves on display in the upcoming “Dancing with the Stars.” She no doubt will lose weight on the show as these stars go through long and demanding practices that burn a lot of calories… that is if she survives past the first week. So far Kim, whose better known for her curvaceous “junk in the trunk” than her dance moves, lost 5 lbs, and says wants to lose more. Celebrities are losing weight on Dancing with the Stars

If you thought ballroom dancing was not “real exercise” think again. Us mag reveals that the celebs on Dancing with the Stars have been peeling off the pounds as they have fine tuned their dance routines.

“In three weeks of dancing, I’ve lost 5 pounds. I hope my whole body changes. I’m starting to get my waist back, and that’s a big thing after having three babies!” – Jenny Garth

“I’ve lost three pant sizes in 10 days!” – Wayne Newton

“I’ve already lost 20-some pounds! I lost a little before we started. Six or 7 more… and the six pack will come back!” – Mark Cuban

“I’ve lost 14-16 pounds. I’m actually about 7 pounds lighter than I was when I was 16 years old and training in ballet! So I don’t think I should lose any more or I’ll evaporate!” – Jane Seymour.
