<p>The two stars from the Fox drama <em>Dollhouse,</em> Dichen Lachman and Eliza Dushku, have shared some diet and exercise information with the readers of <em>Self Magazine</em> in the October issue.  They gave some great exercise tips for doing a <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/eliza-dushku-dichen-lachman-partner-workout/">partner workout</a> and they also shared some of their own tips.</p>
<p><span id="more-5424"></span>Dichen addressed the issue of working long hours and fatigue.  She believes that when a person is fit and maintains a healthy lifestyle he/she will be able to support his/her general health even during those times of having to work harder than usual.</p>
<p>As for Dichen&#8217;s workout she mentioned that she likes the partner workout because it acts as a substitute for gym equipment and having a partner keeps her motivated.  In addition, she gave examples of a few things she does to burn extra calories during the day.  She explained,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;There are some simple things I do that just keep me moving: walking up stairs instead of taking the lift, parking further away than usual from your destination and cleaning my own apartment.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>In the October issue of <em>Self Magazine</em> Eliza Dushku and Dichen Lachman from the Fox drama, <em>Dollhouse</em>, model for a partner workout.  They pose for six different exercise that can be done with a partner; this &#8217;sidekick shape-up&#8217; was devised by Elizabeth Hendrix Burwell, co-owner of <em>High Performance Fitness</em> in New York City. <blockquote><p>&#8220;Women who work out with a bestie are 45 percent more likely to exercise than are those who sweat solo, research shows.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-5146"></span>So grab your best buddy and try these six exercises:</p>
<p><strong>1. Take Sides</strong> &#8211; Stand facing each other arms&#8217; length apart.  Hold hands and then do lunges from side to side as you mirror each other.</p>
<p><strong>2. Belly Buster</strong> &#8211; Lie faceup, heads opposite, right hips touching. Extend legs up and grasp hands on sides. Lift hips off ground and, switching hip positions, lower legs to a 45-degree angle from ground. Left hips should now touch. Return legs to straight up. Lift hips and lower legs to opposite side for one rep. Do 16 reps.</p>
<p><strong>3. Ally Arabesque </strong>- Stand facing your partner; grasp hands and squeeze butt. Mirroring partner, lift leg behind you with toes pointed and then lower leg. Rise onto balls of both feet two times; repeat on opposite side for one rep. Do 10 reps.</p>
<p><strong>4. Five Alive</strong> &#8211; Start facing each other in push-up position. Lower chest to ground. Push back to start. Give partner a high five (as shown). Return to push-up position for one rep. Repeat, alternating hands. Do 10 reps.</p>
<p><strong>5. Lean On Me </strong>- This exercise is like the one you did back in summer camp when you were a kid. Stand back-to-back with partner and squat together.  Hold, and then come back up. Do 10 reps.</p>
<p><strong>6. Palm Pat</strong> &#8211; Stand facing each other, hands on hips. Lunge backward with right leg. Straighten left leg as you push off ball of right foot, bringing right thigh in front and parallel to ground. Return to start. Do 10 reps on each leg.</p>
