The Truth about Abs is authored by Mike Geary who is a personal trainer and nutritionist. I’m going to spill the beans and let you in on the secret to great abs. It starts with nutrition! So forget the crazy ab machines and routines. It’s what you put in your mouth that counts. As a physician who has reviewed hundreds of diet and weight loss programs, in addition to thousands of clinical and scientific studies, I was actually quite impressed by the nutritional information found in Truth About Abs. For the most part it was right on. There were a few inaccuracies (dairy for weight loss, soy is fattening etc) but overall I think the nutritional information was spot on and a welcome relief to a lot of the rubbish you find in many diet and weight loss books.
