One would think we know absolutely everything about Kim Kardashian’s diet and exercise habits. We know she makes fitness DVDs, we know she embraces her curves, she’s had cellulite removal treatments and the list goes on and on. Now we get to add another item to that list as she has now joined the ranks [...]

“Kim buys the Oatmeal Raisin and Chocolate flavor cookies. She likes to use the cookies to control the number of calories she eats. She also uses the Creme Brulee and Chocolate shakes to change the diet up a bit.”

According to Dr. Siegal, a person can eat six cookies a day that are 90 calories each and then eat a sensible dinner between 300 and 800 calories and he/she will lose weight. This all looks good if you are just crunching the numbers when it comes to daily caloric intake but surely it would get bland or boring eating cookies all day long and one would think you would get a belly ache from all of the sugars and carbohydrates.

Celeb Diet Doctor weigh in…

Kim is all over the map. First it was reported that she kept her weight down with exercise despite a junk food diet. Later she touted a healthier diet of whole foods including quinoa and now she’s back to junk food such as “diet” cookies. Make no mistake processed foods such as “diet” cookies will lead to weight gain. The only thing you’ll lose is money and not lbs.

Of all of the diet trends and fads that the celebrities follow, this one has got to be the silliest of them all. Recently on E! News, there are snippets about various celebrities partaking in Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet. This diet was once only available to Dr. Siegal’s private patients but it seems that he wants a piece of the fitness pie (cookie?) and is now revealing his secret to the world.

Dr. Siegal claims you can eat six cookies a day plus a sensible dinner of 300 to 800 calories and you will lose weight! The ‘magic’ cookies can be used as a healthy snack or as an appetite suppressant. Each daily bag contains six cookies at 90 calories each.

According to E! News, celebrities such as Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Mandy Moore, Guy Ritchie and even Howard Stern have been said to have lost weight on this diet. The first ever Cookie Diet store recently opened in Beverly Hills and celebrities and other well-to-do socialites in the neighborhood have been flocking to the store.

Celebrity Diet Doctor Weigh In…
The irony here is that processed foods are making Americans unhealthy and overweight in the first place. Processed foods such as “diet cookies” will actually result in weight gain and not weight loss.
