Elizabeth Hurley’s Diet Drink of Choice?

Supermodel and actress Elizabeth Hurley is 44 years of age. She’s still ultra glamorous and that’s because she has learned to change her diet and eating habits as she has gotten older. She did admit that her eating habits have changed now that she’s over 40, but she recently revealed that her drinking habits have changed too. To keep her midriff trim she has switched from wine to vodka. She explained,

“I used to drink and awful lot of coffee, but I was told after the age of 40 you have to be careful with coffee and wine. Apparently that can be one of the reasons older women get bloated around their stomach.”

She said it took some getting used to switching from wine to vodka but she’ll have her cocktail with carbonated water and a lot of lime when at a party or social event. When it comes to calories wine and vodka are very similar. A glass of red is approximately 65 calories and a shot of vodka is 70. There’s a lot of information out there about wine being good for the heart if it’s just one glass a day but information about wine and coffee bloating older women is new news. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Alcohol is certainly no diet drink. If you’re trying to lose weight avoid all alcohol as it packs a caloric punch and worse, it lowers inhibitions so you wind up eating more too!

Supermodel and actress Elizabeth Hurley is most likely the most beautiful farmer on the planet. She has traded in her stilettos and handbag for cowboy boots and a hat but she still looks amazing. These days the 44-year-old lives on her farm full time and promotes her organic foods line that come from her 400-acre farm. By looking at her you wouldn’t think she’s a day over 25 but she does admit that she has gained a little weight since being in her 40s but she is also sensible and knows it is only natural. She explained,

“I have never eaten six raisins a day with a child’s knife and fork, or any of the other ridiculous things I have read about myself, but I am heavier than in my movie years. There is a huge change in your metabolism after 40 and for the first time ever I am having to watch what I eat because I’m quite greedy by nature,” she jokes.

She was then asked if she has had any surgery since she looks 24 instead of 44. Hurley laughed again and said she doesn’t have a beauty regime because she’s busy running two business and raising a family.

British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley has recently launched her own line of organic meats and foods. She and husband Arun Nayar have a 400-acre organic farm and she has gone to great efforts to support her new company and the campaign for sustainable foods. Recently, it was revealed in the UK OK! Magazine that the actress keeps her svelte figure by practicing what she preaches and snacks on beef jerky and other dried cured meats to keep her sleek physique. She said,

“It’s an excellent thing for anyone on the Atkins diet. I did a movie in South Africa with Ice Cube and it’s all I ate. I was very thin – 121lbs.”

Hurley’s product line of health snacks are all less than 100 calories and are made from ingredients grown and raised on her farm. She is partnering with the Prince of Wales’ company, Duchy Originals, to sell her healthy snacks.

The model and actress Elizabeth Hurley is preparing to launch her own line of organic foods and over the weekend she was spotted at a farmers’ market in Gloucestershire, England selling her organic meats. The 44-year-old face of Estee Lauder and her husband Arun Nayar have a 400-acre organic farm and they will soon be producing foods under the label Duchy Originals, a sustainable foods label that belongs to Prince Charles. She said in a previous interview,

“His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is an inspiration to me because of his passionate belief in organic food and farming and his unwavering commitment to help protect and sustain the countryside. I feel honored to be working with Duchy Originals and am extremely excited about the products we are developing together.”
