This week he interviewed with Australia&#8217;s, <em>The Morning Show</em> and revealed some of his get-fit secrets.  Firstly, he said it&#8217;s important to go back to the basics by making the right choices explaining that we often know the right choice but don&#8217;t actually act on it.  Some of his tips included:</p>
<p><span id="more-6920"></span>- Keep your diet simple<br />
- Eat whole foods<br />
-Don&#8217;t forget fiber and calcium<br />
-Minimize additives<br />
-Eat green vegetables to rid the body of toxins<br />
-Eat regularly to maintain a good metabolism</p>
<p>He explained,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The more natural fresh and organic your food the better it is for you.  The cleaner you eat the leaner you&#8217;ll be. We always build health first so if you&#8217;re body is healthy you&#8217;re going to be lean.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Lastly, he gave a quick mention to general exercise women and men should do to counter their natural weaknesses.  For example, women should do resistance work to build lean muscle and keep the bones strong  where men on the other hand should work on their stretching.</p>

<p>Supermodel Elle Macpherson is 45-years-old, still looking fabulous and ready to talk about how she battled her addictions.  In 2003 she spent some time in rehab as she was burning the candle at both ends, but that has all changed and she is dedicated to leading a healthy lifestyle for herself and also for her two children.  When asked what is the most difficult thing she has had to do to stay healthy she said it&#8217;s staying off cigarettes and alcohol.  She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and I don’t take drugs – not even aspirin.  But that wasn’t always the case.  I was a normal kind of Australian chick – excessive. I used to smoke 20 cigarettes a day, so giving that up was definitely the most challenging thing for me.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-2408"></span>When asked how she keeps her trim body, especially now that she doesn&#8217;t have cigarettes (appetite suppressants) and alcohol (food replacement) she admitted she does a lot to stay in shape.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;It’s 80 per cent genetics and 20 per cent hard work. There’s no hard work at the moment because I haven’t been training. I have an athletic body, but as I’ve gotten older I need to do more to maintain my shape. I’m not as wiry as I used to be – I need to work on toning my legs and my stomach. Even now, aged 45, I do lots of sports. I ski for six hours a day when I’m in the mountains, and at the beach I water ski and surf twice a day.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
