Heidi Montag: Workout

The Hills reality star Heidi Montag is everywhere.  Is that annoying anyone yet?  She was on the cover of this month’s issue of Playboy magazine, she sang at the Miss Universe competition this week and she’s still filming her show.  Now it appears she’s even doing interviews on the phone while on set with The Hills.  Last week she spoke with the Self Magazine celebrity blogger about her workouts for Playboy and the Miss Universe appearance.  She enlisted the help of trainer Chad Waterbury to get in her shape.  She said,
“It’s definitely not a weenie workout,” she warns. “It’s not for a girl who just wants to look skinny. I wanted to be strong, I wanted to be fit, I wanted to be in shape. It was so hard and so challenging, but then I started getting more athletic and really building my body. Since then, I’m just more and more inspired every time I see the results!”
She went on to explain that being in shape for a magazine shoot is different than being live on camera because people can actually see her body moving.  So for her workouts with Waterbury she wanted a firm rear end claiming that before hand it was quite flat.
“I wanted it to be pure muscle and be curvier. Playboy is very feminine, sexy, curvy and I really wanted to go for that look.”

Heidi Pratt’s Playboy Workout

Heidi Montag Pratt, the 22-year-old blonde on the reality series The Hills is getting some new ‘exposure’ in the literal sense as she’s appearing on the cover of the September issue of Playboy.  After the photo shoot, she hooked up with Life & Style Magazine and gave them the inside scoop on how she got ready to bare all for Playboy.  When asked how her workout changed in comparison to before the shoot Heidi explained that she used to casually get on the treadmill to exercise but once she was preparing for Playboy she was doing ‘athletic training’ five days a week and for an hour each day.
The newlywed who wants to feel sexy for her husband and co-star Spencer Pratt said that she likes to do the dead lift weight during her workout routine.  She explained,
“The dead lift. I lift 100 pounds, and that’s pretty much my weight. It’s very empowering. I feel more comfortable and confident alone. I don’t need my husband to carry my luggage downstairs — I can do it. I feel pretty buff.”
Lastly, Heidi was asked if she lost weight for the shoot besides adding on some extra curves.  She replied that she probably gained five extra pounds because she firmed up and gained muscle at the same time.  All in all, Heidi is happy with her body for the magazine and her husband is happy too:
“He loves my new additions. I just want to be the foxiest wife.”

Heidi Pratt Creates ‘The Heidi Workout’

Heidi Pratt, one of the stars from the series The Hills, has plans to release a downloadable workout series called, The Heidi Workout.  Pratt told People Magazine,
“Staying fit is something I’m really passionate about.  I work out with a strength-and-conditioning coach 90 minutes a day, five days a week”
Her workout will feature rapidly executed full-body conditioning exercises using both light and heavy weights in order to burn fat faster.  There will also be some nutritional advice based on the guidelines that her own trainer, Chad Waterbury gave her.  Examples include avoiding white foods and instead fill up on lean meats, green vegetabls, apples and berries.  Waterbury said,
“Heidi loves steak!…. Heidi has a really healthy appetite,” Waterbury adds. “There’s no way she is going to deprive herself.”
Pratt is just 5′1″ and weighs only 100 pounds so her workouts aren’t about getting skinny but instead getting curves and shape.  Waterbury explained,
“When she came to me her butt was really flat and she wanted to make it bigger,” says Waterbury. “Now, it’s nice, shapely and round. She loves showing off her body now.  She called me from her Playboy shoot and was so excited. The photographers were raving about her.”
Pratt will be on the cover of the September issue of Playboy Magazine.
