And last week, while at a Scott Barnes book launch she told <em>US</em> magazine that she&#8217;s not &#8216;crazy&#8217; about her workouts and even though she may not go to the gym everyday she tries to be consistent. Likewise, she has all the right to brag by saying,<span id="more-8434"></span></p>

<p>In a different interview with the <em>New York Post</em> last week she said that she does the StairMaster, boxing, biking and plenty of lunges. But she has no plans on losing loads of weight. She said,</p>

<p><span id="more-7622"></span>Revelers at the Times Square performance had mixed reactions though, ranging from the approving wolf whistles to damning comments calling her a “weird naked Barbie doll” and “looks like elephant skin”, according to <em>NYDailyNews.com</em>.</p>
<p>Jennifer was wearing nothing else except the catsuit and equally sparkly Christian Louboutin heels. But one wonders whether the <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/jennifer-lopez-on-post-baby-weight-loss/">mother of twins</a> Max and Emma wore the bodysuit to drum up publicity for her career in the new year. She certainly knows how to make a statement…</p>

<p>For years it’s been known that spicy food is a good way to kick-start your metabolism and burn more fat quicker, and now scientists have found a way to put all that spicy goodness in a pill. Celebrities like <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/tag/jennifer-lopez/">Jennifer Lopez</a>, <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/tag/britney-spears/">Britney Spears</a> and Brad Pitt have been said to be fans of Capsiplex, a weight-loss supplement consisting of hot peppers and capsicum that burns as many calories as a 25-minute jog.</p>
<p><span id="more-7595"></span>The makers of Capsiplex conducted trials at the University of Oklahoma and result proved that the supplement burns 278 more calories before, during and after exercise. But because capsicum is such a spicy ingredient, the challenge was to create a supplement that was safe to ingest in large quantities.</p>
<p>“For decades, scientists have known about the weight-loss potential of red-hot peppers,” a spokesperson told <em>The Daily Mail</em>. “The problem has been the ability to consume such a highly concentrated amount, but we have overcome this by putting a protective coating on the ingredients which stops any gastric irritation. At last we have a safe and healthy supplement to help weight loss.”</p>
<p>Already on shelves in America, Capsiplex has just been introduced in the United Kingdom.</p>

Whether this type of supplement results in weight loss is a big question mark&#8230;. but the data is not encouraging.</p>
<p>A previous study using <a href="http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayAbstract?fromPage=online&amp;aid=911376">red pepper extract showed that it is was no more effective than a placebo in preventing weight gain</a> after modest weight loss, even though the red pepper group had more fat burning.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/jennifer-lopez-trx-suspension-trainer-workout/">Jennifer Lopez</a> just turned 40 last week and she still looks gorgeous.  In February 2008 she dropped <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/jennifer-lopez-on-post-baby-weight-loss/">50 pounds </a>after giving birth to her twins and she has kept the weight off and still looks like &#8216;Jenny from the Block.&#8217;  Her trainer Gunnar Peterson gave <em>In Touch Magazine</em> the exclusive on what Jennifer does to stay in shape.  He began by saying that she&#8217;s a hard worker and no matter how busy she is, she&#8217;ll always find time to squeeze in a workout.  He said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;She isn&#8217;t afraid to push herself in the gym.  She&#8217;s not somebody who blows it off because she&#8217;s working 18-hour days on the set. She finds a way to get back in, even if it means exercising really late at night.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-4156"></span>Peterson told the magazine that she will work out for at least an hour two to six days a week.  She will do a 10-minute warm-up and then a series of high-intensity cardio paired with strength and resistance moves.  Jennifer has said in the past,</p>

<blockquote><p>&#8220;It did take a lot of work,&#8221; Lopez, 39, admits. &#8220;I thought it was gonna drop off easily because I had been in shape my whole life, but it wasn&#8217;t. I gained about 50 pounds with my twins, and the first 30 dropped off like that, and I was like, &#8216;Ha, this is gonna be so easy.&#8217; That last 20 &#8212; that took a while.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-2929"></span>For the time being, that&#8217;s all we know about Jennifer&#8217;s weight loss.  But we do know she&#8217;s working on a new movie called, <em>The Back-Up</em>, and she has been taking the kids to the set and being the best mother she can be.</p>

I love it,&#8221; she says. &#8220;Honestly, one of the best days of my life was the first day back working on this film &#8212; I wanted to do this film really badly &#8212; and bringing my babies with me that morning. I was like, &#8216;Oh my God, they&#8217;re with me, I&#8217;m making a movie, they&#8217;re here!&#8217; It&#8217;s great having kids on set. It&#8217;s the best.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span id="more-2068"></span>As always, she looks flawless and her trainer, Gunnar Peterson told <em>People</em> Magazine that she uses the <em>TRX Suspension Trainer</em> (see photo above) to maintain her famous figure.  This portable fitness equipment weighs less than two pounds, it&#8217;s great for traveling and it can be anchored to a door or any other secure point.  Gunnar told <em>People</em> that Jennifer Lopez has,</p>
