Recently the 35-year-old health-nut released her own line of dietary supplements, but is now being sued for misleading advertising of her “worthless” product the Jillian Michaels Maximum Strength Calorie Control.<span id="more-8678"></span></p>
<p>A couple of months ago, the celebrity trainer was crowned <em><a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/jillian-michaels-americas-healthiest-body">America’s Healthiest Body</a> </em>by <em>Health Magazine</em>, while a new season of the hit show <em>The Biggest Loser </em>kicking off at the beginning of the year. But in documents filed in the LA County Superior Court on February 9, Jillian is being held liable for “violation of the consumers legal remedies act”, “violation of unfair competition act”, and “untrue and misleading advertising” of one of her weight-loss supplements.</p>
<p>The class action alleges that after the reputation she’s developed as a hardcore fitness instructor, always stressing the importance of hard work and discipline, for Jillian to now advocate an easy way to drop the pounds by popping two pills is misleading.</p>
<blockquote><p>“Contrary to everything Ms. Michaels has ever instructed, she and the companies peddling this product suggest it makes weight-loss effortless, falsely claiming ‘Take Two Capsules Before Main Meals And You Lose Weight. That’s It.’,” the lawsuit says. “Ms. Michaels knows better – taking two pills before eating does not miraculously cause weight loss.”</p></blockquote>
<p>The companies also being sued are Thin Care International and Basic Care Research, both of whom helped Jillian develop and market her supplements.</p>

<p>These diet pills are a caffeine stimulant type product which can lead to headaches, feeling jittery, heart palpitations and unfortunately little to no weight loss. Sorry Jillian but you sold out.. just calling it like I see it:)</p>
<p>Btw here are some less than stellar comments about Jullian&#8217;s diet pills. Granted they are from the GNC website and anonymous so take it for what it&#8217;s worth.</p>

<p>Gave me headaches for approximately one week. Did not see any results although I work out one hour a day.</p>
<p>I take two in the morning and it claims to have some caffeine in it, and I feel nothing. I took 3 this morning, still no effect.</p></blockquote>

Michaels said she was very flattered by the recognition but she admitted that she too struggles just like the rest of us.  <span id="more-6101"></span>She explained,</p>

But I just think, ‘God, if people had any idea of the stuff that goes on behind closed doors: the struggles in the middle of the night in front of the refrigerator, the weeks on end I can’t get my ass to the gym!’ But, in reality, there’s a part of me where it makes perfect sense.”</p></blockquote>
<p>Michaels also gave some tips on healthy eating and lifestyle choices by promoting an organic diet that&#8217;s free of chemicals and to strive to reach our full potential when it comes to exercise.  She also noted that to be healthy doesn&#8217;t mean that the person is necessarily skinny.  Smokers and drinkers can be very thin but are waiting for diseases to attack at any time.  Instead, a healthy person is someone who is disease-free.</p>

<p>This week the <em>NBC</em> network announced that <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/biggest-loser-interactive-video-game/">The Biggest Loser</a> trainer <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/jillian-michaels-fast-weight-loss/">Jillian Michaels</a> is getting her own show next year.  In her new eight-episode series Michaels will travel through out the US and live with families for a week and while there she will assess their lifestyle choices that have made them unhealthy and unhappy.  Michaels explained,</p>
<blockquote><p>“When your health is out of balance everything else suffers — finances, relationships, work and family dynamics,” Michaels says. “I’m moving in with families across the country, getting down and dirty and rooting out bad habits in every corner of their lives that are preventing them from health and happiness.”</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-5974"></span>Michaels will also get some help from the handsome celebrity chef Curtis Stone who will give tips on cooking, nutrition and healthy foods.  Check out the <em>NBC</em> website if you&#8217;re interested in you and your family getting casted on the show. And don&#8217;t worry all of you <em>Biggest Loser </em>fans, Michaels will continue to be on that show in addition to her own new show.</p>

<p><span id="more-5773"></span>While working on her new nutrition book, Jillian asked her followers if they had any healthy-cooking tips they&#8217;d like to share, then she shared her own too.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t buy your produce pre-cut. The air oxidizes the food faster and depletes its nutrients. Betcha didn&#8217;t know that. And now&#8230; back to work.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>The 35-year-old reality TV trainer later<a href="http://twitter.com/JIllianMichaels"> tweeted</a> that it&#8217;s fine to buy frozen produce, but when it comes to lettuce, always pick from the top of the pile. According to Jillian&#8217;s chef Dr La Puma, the lights in the supermarket help boost the nutrients in the leaves.</p>

<p><span id="more-2858"></span>1. Take three to five days to prepare.</p>
<p>2. Drink a gallon of water a day with two tea bags of dandelion tea, all-natural cranberry juice and the juice of one lemon.</p>
<p>3. Eat asparagus and a little watermelon. The potassium helps flush water out.</p>
<p>4. No salt. Sodium-rich foods include cold cuts, most meat, anything processed.</p>
<p>5. Avoid tanning because the sun will dehydrate you. If you want color, go for a spray tan.</p>
<p>6. Work out.</p>
<p>7. Spend three 20-minute sessions in a sauna and sweat it out of your cells.</p>
<p>8. Avoid carbs.</p>
<p>9. Go to a spa and get a body wrap.</p>
<p>Jillian also said that when she doesn&#8217;t have time to workout she avoids the empty calories of alcohol.  However, she did give a good recipe on how to save some calories when enjoying a nice cocktail, which is something to consider once that dress finally fits! She explained,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;A margarita is 500 calories, so instead you can do the diet version that has 80 calories, with Patrón on the rocks, fresh lime and if you need it, a tiny splash of orange juice.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p><span id="more-2741"></span>Jillian also revealed how her food intake changes while she&#8217;s filming.  She explained,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I allow myself less when I work a lot and don’t have time to work out as much. There’s no drinking whatsoever. I don’t get to have my organic peanut butter cups or eat as much period.  I usually go from a500 calorie breakfasts to 300 and being able to have sweets at night is gone, as is a glass of wine and tequila shots, they go.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>However, when she is working out regularly she has a trainer that puts her through one tough workout session:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I work my ass off.  I do Capoeria, it’s a Brazilian form of martial arts.  I have a trainer that I’m crazy about  and we do crazy shit like sledge hammers, kettle bells, holistics amd biometric pull-ups. I do mixed martial arts, I run, I’m very cutting edge and intense.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>When asked if she has to work hard to stay in such great shape she explained that she was an overweight kid and that even now she still has to be very conscious about her diet and exercise.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I work my ass off, it is no joke.  You watch me go up and down. I’m not a fitness guru because I’m not that girl who feels the burn and loves to exercise.  I hate it, but it’s about rebuilding my life and fitness is my tool.  If I were to take a contractor and ask if he loves his hammer, he would say no but he’s proud of the house that he just built.  That’s what fitness is.  It’s a means to and end.  I can get to the core of someone’s self destructive behavior in the gym and can reverse 90 percent of overweight diseases like stroke, hypertension and sleep apnea in that gym.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
