<p>Funny girl <a href="../tag/kristen-bell/">Kristen Bell</a> graces the cover of the latest <em>Women’s Health </em>magazine in sexy heels and hot thigh-hugging dress. But how does the 29-year-old maintain her figure? The <em>Veronica Mars</em> actress shared her secrets with the magazine as she graces the cover of its November issue.</p>
<blockquote><p>“I made a New Year&#8217;s resolution five years ago to always take the stairs,” Kristen tells the magazine. “Even at the airport, I won&#8217;t take the escalators. I find that those little bits of exercise make a difference.”</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-5932"></span>The blonde bombshell also does yoga to “stay aware” of her body and builds muscle during training twice a week.</p>
<p>Kristen shared a meal with the <em>Women’s Health </em>team and ordered fried egg whites on rye with lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese, and a little mayonnaise. The actress says it’s a very healthy meal, but the mayo “gives it that dinner feel”.</p>
<p>You might also be pleased to know that Kristen counts her calories. Why? Because the numbers somehow make her aware of what she’s putting into her body.</p>

<p><span id="more-5507"></span>The 29-year-old actress told <em>People Magazine</em> that when she travels she is always sure to bring snacks along and she likes to know what she&#8217;s eating.  As for her trip to Bora Bora she wasn&#8217;t sure what the food was like there so she brought along healthy choices such as granola bars, Power Bars, Luna Bars and even some butterscotch pudding.  She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I knew that all I needed was water and a mini-fridge, both of which I had in Bora Bora – in my contract,&#8221; she laughed. &#8220;I made little dishes of pudding, and we had them for dessert.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

Granola bars, Power Bars,  and Luna Bars are all what I would call faux health foods. These are highly processed foods that will cause weight gain and are very unhealthy. Don&#8217;t get tricked by the slick advertising. Remember if it has a bar code on it, it&#8217;s most likely not good for you. The ironic part of all this is that Bora, Bora most probably has incredible seafood and wonderful produce. My recommendation is to travel with an open mind and keep the junk food at home. Nuff said!</p>

When asked about her healthy habits she said she tries to be as active as possible but likes for it to be a social activity where she still feels like she gets a workout.  She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s so hard to schedule workouts for anybody so I try to do activites with my friends. So like instead of watching movies on Saturday we&#8217;ll go play ultimate frisbee or hiking with the dogs, or bike riding.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-5152"></span>Kristen was also asked how she stays fit and again she replied that it&#8217;s all about being active and going on hikes.  But she did mention that she doesn&#8217;t like the monotony of weight training and prefers whole body workouts such as doing a pilates video or a <em>Thai-Bo</em> video.  Lastly, the actress was asked if she has any guilty pleasures and she had quite a humorous response; she loves boxed cake, especially yellow butter cake.  She confessed,</p>

<p>And she&#8217;s right, the more you do the better your speed, co-ordination, cardio fitness and strength.</p>
