Mel-B Endorses International Fitness Week
Former Spice Girl Mel-B had one amazing year in 2009 and things are still on the up-and-up for 2010. Last year she released an exercise DVD, had a great gig doing a burlesque Peepshow in Las Vegas and got a job hosting Dance Your Ass Off. Being that she’s in tip-top shape it was no surprise she was selected to be the poster child for the 2010 International Fitness Week which occurs during the first week of February. Dance Your Ass Off Gets New Host
Marissa Jaret Winokur has lost her gig with Dance Your Ass Off to the sexy former Spice Girl, Mel-B. The executive producer of the show said that they switched to Mel-B because the Oxygen channel’s core audience grew up with the Spice Girls and there’s a large portion of the audience that can’t connect to Winokur. Mel-B’s New Fitness Class

The former Spice Girl Mel-B isn’t leaving the stage necessarily but instead of performing in a stadium in front of thousands she plans to become a qualified fitness trainer and teach classes based on the DVD she launched in early 2009. The 34-year-old has plans to complete a two-month course to get qualified and then she’ll start her high-energy class soon after. [Read more →]

Mel B’s Diet

Former Spice Girl, Mel B is currently working on the Las Vegas Stage Review, Peepshow. Needless to say, there are some barely-there outfits required for the stage from the looks of the photo above, but lucky for us she revealed to People Magazine how she’s staying in shape for the show. First off, she said that she relies on the food delivery service Freshology to get her daily dose of protein such as fish and chicken. The 33-year-old told People Magazine,
“I have to eat, and I’m addicted to quinoa.” But once a week, “I splurge on whatever I’m craving—either an In-and-Out cheeseburger or a traditional English Sunday roast.”

Spice Girl Mel-B’s New Fitness DVD

The former Spice Girl, Mel-B, was on the Ellen Degeneres show this week to demonstrate some of the new moves off of her new fitness DVD. She told Ellen that while she was pregnant with her second child she gained a total of 60 pounds. After the birth she had to learn how to get a workout done while the kids were taking a nap. Cold Water Diet

I recently profiled Mel B, aka Scary Spice who is now strutting her stuff on Dancing with the Stars, for saying that she didn’t diet or count calories. However, it’s clear that her diet of fruits, veggies, lean meats and whole grains, is healthy and frankly looks like a typical “diet” to me. Mel B, Scary Spice: Weight Loss

Since the birth of her second child Angel, in April of this year, Mel B or better known as scary spice has since lost 40 lbs of her baby weight. And she claims she did it without dieting. Instead she got to work with a trainer less than a week after giving birth. And lately she has been burning up the dance floor on Dancing in with the Stars, putting in 6 hour training days for the past 6 weeks. Mel B says
“I don’t believe in diets, I believe in listening to your body and being consistent. If you want a burger, have one, but balance it out the next day by eating salmon and vegetables.”
