Kerri Walsh: Post Baby Weight Loss

The Olympic gold baring beach volleyball player, Kerri Walsh and her husband, AVP pro-volleyball player Casey Jennings welcomed a new addition to their family last month.  Their new son Joey is doing just fine but Kerri told People magazine that she’s ready to get back in shape and fed up with feeling soft.  Intense workouts and a svelte body are second nature to the Olympian so while pregnant she found the weight gain to be difficult.  She said,
“36 lbs. is the official number. I just didn’t want to hit 40 because that would be 200 lbs. but I feel pretty silly now that I see Joey.”
She did however lose the weight rather quickly after Joey’s birth.
“It’s crazy. A lot dropped in the first week,” she says. “Now I just need to build my muscle because I’m skinny soft, which is the worst thing to be.”
She continues,
“I can’t wait to sweat and be outside and play the sport I love so much but right now I’m just proud. I have peace in my heart because of our son. I just can’t wait to show him the world.”

Alison Sweeney Does Wii Workout

Alison Sweeney, the host of Biggest Loser and also actress on Days of Our Lives has been a strong advocate of the EA Sports Active package by Nintendo Wii. She told People Magazine,
“It’s just a good example of how you can really get it done at home,” she says. “You don’t need to have a big fancy gym membership. One of the things we talk about on The Biggest Loser all the time is just how difficult it is financially to lose weight sometimes. And that isn’t an excuse anymore. There are really reasonable options.”
She also revealed that she learned a lot about health and fitness while on Biggest Loser and it helped her in her post-baby weight loss:
“I’ve learned a lot about nutrition and how to count my calories”
Sweeney is now a mother of two children and she explained that during her second pregnancy she reached for fresh fruits instead of processed sweets when getting a craving.
“You deserve to be spoiled – but within reason,” she cautioned.

Ali Landry: Post-Baby Weight Loss

The former Doritos girl, Ali Landry took two years off of exercise after giving birth in 2007.  Instead of working out she depended on a home-delivery meal service in order to eat right and drop the post-baby weight.  She said,
“I lost the majority of the [post-baby] weight pretty fast doing that.  But I have to say, it was that skinny fat when you don’t work out, and you’re not toned.”
However, when she was asked to be on the ABC celebrity sports competition The Superstars she decided it was time to tone up. She explained,
“When I got the paperwork for Superstars, and I saw they asked what size swimsuit I wear, I had a hot flash, nearly broke into cold sweats and hired a trainer immediately.”
Now she’s ready for the show which premieres on June 23rd:
“They, I think, put me in the best shape of my entire life. I am in shock that I have [definition] in my stomach after having a baby – I didn’t even know that was possible,” she says. “Hopefully, that will be encouraging to all the women out there who don’t feel so good about their body after a baby.”

Angie Harmon: Post-Baby Workout

It has been five months now since the 36-year-old Law & Order star, Angie Harmon, gave birth to her third daughter, Emery.  From the likes of this photo, she already appears to be back into tip-top shape.  However, she told People Magazine that she hasn’t returned to a hardcore workout since the birth.  She said,

“I’m not going to go get on a treadmill when I’ve got two little girls out in the swimming pool and they want me to swim with them.”

Rebecca Romijn: Post Baby Workout

There’s nothing ugly about the Ugly Betty star Rebecca Romijn.  As a formal model and now actress she’s like all the other celebrities who some how have miracle bodies, even after having children.  This month in InStyle Magazine, Romijn was asked how she lost her baby weight after the birth of her now 5-month-old twins, Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip.  As for her post-baby curves she said they make her
“feel as sexy as I have ever felt.”
During the last month of her pregnancy she was not permitted to move around very much so once the twins were born she had to put her “body back together.”  She did so by working out on the elliptical machine, hiking and doing Pilates.  Five months later, Romijn looks great, but she did say that she is larger than she was before:
“I’m a jeans size up from where I usually am,” she says, “but there’s nothing about it that freaks me out.

Jennifer Lopez on Post-Baby Weight Loss

It’s been a year since Jennifer Lopez gave birth to her twins Max and Emme, and recently we have seen a lot more of her on the red carpet and at various galas looking fantastic.  What we don’t know is how she lost her post-baby weight.  She admitted to Entertainment Tonight that she gained 40 pounds while pregnant, but how on earth did she get it off?

“It did take a lot of work,” Lopez, 39, admits. “I thought it was gonna drop off easily because I had been in shape my whole life, but it wasn’t. I gained about 50 pounds with my twins, and the first 30 dropped off like that, and I was like, ‘Ha, this is gonna be so easy.’ That last 20 — that took a while.”

Jessica Alba’s Postpartum Weight Loss Part 2

It’s been a few months since Jessica Alba revealed her sexy post-baby body and back in March she still wasn’t really telling us how she lost the weight.  All we learned from Elle Magazine was that she wore a tight-fitting girdle.  But now we discovered from People Magazine how she lost the weight.  Her trainer, Ramona Braganza said that Jessica followed the 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone program which is a mix of strength training, cardio intervals and ab work.  Braganza said,

“We focus on burning a certain number of calories. Jess would average 500. And once the weight starts coming off, it’s much more fun!”

Nadya Suleman, the infamous mother of 14 children, has claimed she would never go under the knife in order to lose her post baby weight, even if it were one of the many freebies that she has received from donors, the community and companies.  She said,

“I would never even accept a tummy tuck even if it were offered because I don’t need it.  I’m actually shocked myself at my own body. My goal is to do things as naturally as possible.”

Rebecca Romijn Post Baby Weight Loss

rebecca-romijn-post-baby-weight-lossOne of the stars of Ugly Betty, the sexy Rebecca Romijn, has lost 60 pounds over the past four months after having given birth to twins.  In an interview with Extra over the weekend she claims that she has lost all of the weight from breast feeding and it has nothing to do with exercise.  The 36-year-old said,

“I think within the first three weeks, I took off like 35 lbs. without doing anything!” says says. “I haven’t been able to work out that much because I have twins. It’s impossible to get back into a regular schedule.”

She then added,

“Breast feeding is the very best diet I’ve been on. It’s amazing. It’s like you have to eat 5,000 extra calories a day or you can’t produce enough food for them. So, that’s been fun as well.”

Tori Spelling on Hollywood and Body Image

Recently, Tori Spelling spoke out that she’s not anorexic and she’s tired of the media scrutinizing her weight every other day.  She mentioned on The View this week that since she was having children over the past two and a half years that people essentially ‘forgot’ what she used to look like before having kids.  But now, she’s back on track, busy with books and TV shows and getting back to work.  She recently spoke with People Magazine about the pressure in Hollywood to be a certain weight.  She said,

“I knew as soon as I left the house a week, even two weeks after giving birth, [to daughter Stella] people are going to take pictures and scrutinize,” She continues, “Whereas mothers everywhere don’t even think about losing the weight for a year. It was hard to find that balance of what’s acceptable.”
