Renee Zellweger Weight Gain with Fat Suit

Actress Renee Zellweger may not be piling on the pounds when she reprises her role as Bridget Jones for the third instalment of the comedy movies at the end of this year. The first two movies grossed more than $544 million, so one can understand why Zellweger signed on to do the third.

But this time round, the 40-year-old Oscar winner will be doing the responsible thing when it comes to her body.

“Renee will be wearing a fat suit in the third film as it took her a while to lose the weight last time,” a source told Britain’s Reveal magazine. “She’s also thinking about the effect quickly putting on and then losing 30 pounds has on her body.”

Do you think Renee's made a good decision?

Renee Zellweger: Weight Gain – Round 3

It’s official, Renee Zellweger will yet again pack on the pounds for the third installment of the Bridget Jones Diaries.  Yes the movies are fabulous but what is this woman doing to her body?  The first movie was in 2001 and Zellweger was 31 or 32 years old, now she’s 40 and it’s going to be harder than ever to lose the weight once the camera has stopped rolling.   In the first movie she gained approximately 30 pounds by eating heaps of fattening foods like doughnuts, snicker bars, milk shakes and anything calorie-laden.  For the second movie it was around 20 pounds and she took more of a healthy approach by pigging out on good fats such as fish oil, avocados and flax seed.
Shape shifting is risky business and let’s hope that for Renee’s health her character, Bridget, decides to go on a diet if and when they do a fourth film in the next few years.
Filming for the third installment will begin at the end of 2009.

“I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking about how bad this is for you long-term, putting on that much weight in short periods of time,” she said.  ”The health professionals were warning me about not continuing the project any further.”
