Russell Crowe: Bicycle Challenge

Russel Crowe, the A-list star from Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind isn’t known for being the slimmest guy in Hollywood but he’s reasonably fit.  However, his stamina was put to the test when a gossip columnist named Annette Sharp in Australia spotted the star taking a smoke break while on a bike ride with his trainer and then eating three tacos after the workout.  The columnist wrote an article in Sydney’s Daily Telegraph titled, Smokes and Fatty Food, the Fitness Regime for Rusty.
Well, ‘Rusty’ didn’t like it so his spokesman called the columnist and said,
“Get on your bike. Russell wants you to go riding with him. Are you ready to die?”
She took the challenge and the two of them went on a 12-mile ride through the city.  The video footage of their bike race shows Crowe effortlessly ahead of Sharp and Sharp even fell from her bike at one time.  Crowe then complimented the columnist and compared her biking skills to the film director Australian Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Australia and Strictly Ballroom) and said,
“You’re twice the man Baz is.”
