Sherri Shepherd has been one busy lady this past year and it’s no wonder she’s been able to keep off all of that weight that she lost. Apart from dropping 40 pounds she is co-host of The View, had a role in the upcoming movie Precious and she even has a new self-titled sitcom which airs this week on Lifetime. On top of all of this she recently told OK! Magazine that she still works out with her trainer three times a week at 5:30am. Happy with her results she is determined to keep the weight off. She explained,
“Girl, I do a lot of squats because I’ve got a booty,” she says. “I’m getting this booty, I love it. I do a lot of squats, treadmill, and a lot of stairs.”

Sherri Shepherd on Her Jiggly Bits

Sherri Shepherd may have donned a swimming suit on live television after losing 41 pounds of weight but she admits that even though she is thinner now she still wobbles, or ‘jiggles,’ like the rest of us. The 42-year-old co-host of The View joked and said that her jiggly bits could start a fire. Always being the level-headed comedian she told Ok! Magazine,
“I’m not trying to look like Kim Kardashian, unless I can get a Lamar Odom like Khloe,” she joked.

Sherri Shepherd Lost 41 Pounds

Just a couple of weeks ago we saw that Sherri Shepherd lost a considerable amount of weight when she revealed her swimsuit body on The View. But this week with her before and after images on the cover of Ok! Magazine we can really see how much work she did and why she’s so proud of herself. What makes Sherri’s story so great is that she did it the old-fashioned way; she learned to eat right and exercise. Her story is also admirable because she wasn’t offered heaps of money to endorse a weight loss product, but it was simply something she decided to do. She told Ok! Magazine,
“I said to my producer, ‘Why don’t we do something where I tell people ‘Let’s do it together!’ and maybe [up the ante with] a bathing suit.’…… Then all of sudden I had all these people doing it with me. I’d Tweet about going to the gym and how hard it was, and followers would write and say, ‘Sherri, I’ve lost two pounds!’ I thought, ‘Okay, people are getting into this.’”

Sherri Shepherd And Her New Body Image

After revealing her new bathing suit body last week on national television Sherri Shepherd is feeling better than ever. She’s down to a healthy 159 pounds, wearing a size 6 pants and size 10 dress and the best part is that she is no longer on her diabetes medication. When People Magazine asked her why she decided to take the weight-loss challenge she explained,
“I hated my trainer so much. But a lot of what kept me going was my son [Jeffrey, 4]. I really wanted to get healthy because I want to be there for him. I want to be able to see my son graduate, I want to see my grandkids – and I want to be able tell my son I don’t like my daughter-in-law.”

She has been working with a fitness trainer and nutrition coach to drop the weight and flaunt a bikini on stage. Last weekend, Sherri referred to her fitness trainer as the ‘evil one’ and said,
“He’s making me eat salad with extra virgin olive oil. That’s the closest to being a virgin I’m ever going to get.”

Sherri Shepherd Cheats On Her Diet
Sherrie Shepherd, one of the co-hosts on The View, is always talking about Twitter and tweeting when she’s on the show. She’s a strong supporter of the social networking platform but over the weekend her tweet went out to the wrong people – her fitness trainer and nutritional coach. Currently, Sherrie is trying to get in shape in hopes of revealing a fit and trim bikini body during the show on August 6th. Over the weekend she forgot that she’s just got two months until she de-robes and she fell off of the diet wagon:
“This weekend, I was out in L.A., and I’m tweeting about [how] I had fried calamari and I had some buffalo wings and I just went totally off my diet. And it was great! I did not know that my nutritional coach and my trainer follow me.”
On Sunday she tweeted,
“messed up a little last night … had fried calamari and fried catfish – gotta stay away from the soul food! Back on track today – gym at 3 pm.”
