Supermodel Bikini Workouts

The fashion-forward website, Modelinia, gives all the fashion secrets from  top models around the globe.  Their most recent video ad is a two minute documercial where international supermodels give their tips on diet and exercise in order to be bikini fit. Here are some snippets of what they had to say:
Veronica Webb explained, “Fitness is a part of your life as a model, you can’t do yourself any favor.  You have to workout like you brush your teeth or you wash your face, it’s just part of what you do.”
Doutzen Kroes, “It’s not really a secret it’s working out, getting sleep and eating healthy, it’s a combination of those three things.”….”The workout I love, jump rope!”
Paulina Parzakova jokingly said, “Oh, I eat very little and I exercise a lot!”
Allesandra Ambrosio, “I don’t have time to wrokout but i like surfing, rollerblading and I’m trying to get into yoga to take care of my body.  I do yoga like twice a week maybe……”I love chocolate, I love steak, I love all that good brazilian food, so I try to moderate.”
Candice Swanepoel, “I have a trainer and i train at least three days a week, every now and then I go to a ballet class.”
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, “I box, which I love!”
Marisa Miller, “More than anything i think it’s boxing.  It’s good because you use your whole body and you work your legs all the way up.”
Flavia Olivera shyly answered, “Actually, I can eat anything.  If you go to the beach, take in sun and drink coconut water you don’t need to workout”…..”I don’t want to say these things, I feel like a snob.”
Evidently, these women are just like us humans, they have to work at it.  Well, except for Flavia, but at least she was sweet about it in the interview

Adriana Lima’s Workout

“I tried running, I took spin classes, I tried yoga, but I needed something to challenge me.”

Elle Macpherson on Health and Exercise

Supermodel Elle Macpherson is 45-years-old, still looking fabulous and ready to talk about how she battled her addictions.  In 2003 she spent some time in rehab as she was burning the candle at both ends, but that has all changed and she is dedicated to leading a healthy lifestyle for herself and also for her two children.  When asked what is the most difficult thing she has had to do to stay healthy she said it’s staying off cigarettes and alcohol.  She said,

“I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and I don’t take drugs – not even aspirin.  But that wasn’t always the case.  I was a normal kind of Australian chick – excessive. I used to smoke 20 cigarettes a day, so giving that up was definitely the most challenging thing for me.”

Kathy Ireland: Weight Loss

It’s hard to imagine that the above photo (on the left) is the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl, Kathy Ireland. In the latest issue of People Magazine Kathy said that she couldn’t believe it herself when her son showed her the picture.  She explained,

“He said ‘Mom, you look pregnant.’ I didn’t recognize the person I saw. I saw someone who looked overwhelmed, overstressed, overweight, over-everything.”

Helena Christensen is in Great Shape

The 40-year-old supermodel, Helena Christensen, graces the cover of this month’s InStyle UK Magazine.  She obviously looks fantastic and one would think that the woman lives on carrots and wheat-grass shots.  On the contrary, she admitted that she loves to eat and that in order to keep her stellar figure she truly does have to work at it.  As she put a dollop of whipped cream on her chocolate cake during the interview she said,

“I’m a pig……Oh my God, I’m obsessed! It takes up 75 per cent of my brain. I cook every day for my son and even if I’m going out for dinner, I’ll have a bite of what I made for him and then be like, ‘Oh, there’s three hours left until dinner’, and, suddenly, I’ve eaten a whole bowl.”

Milla Jovovich: 5-Factor Diet

In 2004, Forbes Magazine named Milla Jovovich as the ‘Richest Supermodel of the World.’  However in 2007 Milla stepped out of the limelight to have a baby and she’s just now getting back into the Hollywood lifestyle.  Why haven’t we heard from her for over a year?  She admitted that it has taken all of this time to drop the 70 pounds she gained while pregnant.  Milla said she lost the weight with,

“Diet and lots of exercise, I worked my big, little butt off,” adding “It’s been a lot of work and I’ve been working with Harley Pasternak and his 5-Factor program, they actually have diet food sent to my house. At one point I just ate oatmeal, salmon, and artichokes every day for a week. It was definitely a lot easier putting it on!”

Kate Moss: Weight Gain

Kate Moss, the normally bone-thin supermodel, has the media talking as of late because of her recent weight gain. Some were speculating pregnancy and others thought she had breast augmentation and the rumors were starting to soar in Hollywood. But over the weekend, Kate Moss decided to set the record straight in her interview with New York magazine. She told the magazine,

“I’ve just grown breasts, I’m a woman now, it’s true.”

Bar Refaeli’s Workout Plan

Israeli Supermodel, Bar Refaeli, is the cover model for the Sports Illustrated 2009 Swimsuit issue. And by looking at her gorgeous photo it’s evident she deserves the cover model title that so many women strive for in the modeling industry. Bar maintains her svelte body by performing a variety of cardio and martial arts based workouts, one such workout is Krav Maga, an Israeli fighting method. Bar Refaeli states,

“My trainer taught me all kinds of kicks and they work everywhere-your abs, your butt.”

Jordan (Katie Price) Trains for Marathon

The long-legged and ultra-thin supermodel Jordan, also known as Katie Price, is under strict training as she prepares for the London marathon on April 26th. Jordan is concerned that she will bulk out too much during these final months of training as she has increased her consumption of carbohydrates.
