<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/tara-costas-weight-loss/">Tara Costa</a>, the winner of <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/tara-costa-blogs-for-biggest-loser/">Biggest Loser</a> season 7 is still in tip-top shape after completing the show seven months ago.  Once weighing 294 pounds she is down to a size 8 and she just ran the <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/biggest-loser-tara-costa-trains-for-marathon/">New York City marathon</a> last week. In her interview with <em>Ok! Magazine</em> she revealed her inspiration for running the race and how she trained in order to finish with a time of 4:23:12. She said that after finishing Biggest Loser she needed a new challenge in order to keep herself motivated so she followed an online training program to get ready for the marathon. <span id="more-6379"></span>She said,</p>

I had two rest days a week when I would do yoga or go to a conditioning class at the gym.&#8221;</p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">Tara&#8217;s new lease on life allows for her to enjoy physical activity instead of just looking forward to drinks at happy hour.  She now likes to get friends together for a fun 5K run on a Friday night and save the drinks for afterwards.  Now that she has run the marathon she hopes to make it a yearly tradition and she&#8217;s also thinking about getting into surfing and rock climbing. Way to go, Tara.</p>

<a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/tara-costas-weight-loss/">Tara Costa</a> won the <a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/biggest-loser-interactive-video-game/">Biggest Loser</a> reality series in season seven after dropping 150 pounds. She still looks phenomenal, she&#8217;s been training hard for the<a href="http://www.celebritydietdoctor.com/biggest-loser-tara-costa-trains-for-marathon/"> New York City marathon</a> and now she has a new gig as the weekly blogger for the new season of the <em>Biggest Loser</em>.  Costa is excited for the new contestants as she remembers what it felt like to get off the airplane and live in a reality series world over those months on the show. She wrote,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am sure that some (if not all) of the contestants will feel the same way I did. When you get the final notice that you are indeed going to L.A. to meet with producers, casting directors and executives, you feel like you have been given a second chance, that things will be better this time around and that you will truly make the changes your life so badly needs.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><span id="more-5048"></span>She explained that when contestants first arrive they are completely sequestered from the other potential castmates and they would have to get permission to leave their hotel rooms and they would be escorted to wherever they wanted to go. In her future blogs she will reveal more inside secrets as to what contestants do behind the scenes.</p>
<p>Tara is a good example of someone who understands that weight loss and health is a life long commitment and that even though you lose the weight you then have to keep it off. Apart from training for the marathon she has organized a 5k run/walk and a Health and Wellness Fair in her own community that will take place in October.<br />
