Tara Costa won the Biggest Loser reality series in season seven after dropping 150 pounds. She still looks phenomenal, she’s been training hard for the New York City marathon and now she has a new gig as the weekly blogger for the new season of the Biggest Loser. Costa is excited for the new contestants as she remembers what it felt like to get off the airplane and live in a reality series world over those months on the show. She wrote,
“I am sure that some (if not all) of the contestants will feel the same way I did. When you get the final notice that you are indeed going to L.A. to meet with producers, casting directors and executives, you feel like you have been given a second chance, that things will be better this time around and that you will truly make the changes your life so badly needs.”
She explained that when contestants first arrive they are completely sequestered from the other potential castmates and they would have to get permission to leave their hotel rooms and they would be escorted to wherever they wanted to go. In her future blogs she will reveal more inside secrets as to what contestants do behind the scenes.
Tara is a good example of someone who understands that weight loss and health is a life long commitment and that even though you lose the weight you then have to keep it off. Apart from training for the marathon she has organized a 5k run/walk and a Health and Wellness Fair in her own community that will take place in October.
