Taylor Kitsch: Boxing Workout

Taylor Kitsch plays a star athlete on the TV show Friday Night Lights and many people watch the show to simply see some hot men running around on the football field.  But Taylor Kitsch has proved that he tries to stay fit both on and off the screen as he recently told Men’s Health Magazine for the April 2009 issue.  In the real world, Taylor was once a Canadian hockey player and he is a certified personal trainer, which means he knows fitness.  

While preparing for his role as Gambit in the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Taylor joined a ‘down and dirty’ boxing gym in Austin Texas.  While in the ring he’ll do an interval workout which consists of a hard three minutes, take a minute off, and then repeat.  This approach packs his cardio and strength training all into one punch!

“Keeping up that pace revs my metabolism and keeps it there all day,” says Kitsch.

Interval training is a great way to burn fat quickly without having to endure long cardio sessions.  From the looks of this photo, Taylor already knows that!
