Teri Hatcher’s Daily Workout
The Desperate Housewives actress Teri Hatcher is 45 years old and she’s the picture of perfect health. She’s on the cover of the current issue of Prevention Magazine and inside she talks about her training for the Malibu Triathlon that she completed in 2 hours and 11 minutes as well as her regular workouts. She told Prevention Magazine,
“I wasn’t panicked about [turning 45] – it just seemed like a milestone. The older you get, the more you become aware of the things you can’t change and the things you can change.”
Even though the triathlon is over she still works out just as hard with a routine including a 10-minute workout of 20 lunges, squats, bicep curls, shoulder presses, push ups and chair dips, followed by a Pilates session. She mentioned that on the set one of her co-stars, Marcia Cross even commented on how strong she is these days.
As for her triathlon training she did 50-mile bike rides, swam laps in her backyard pool and lifted free weights but she wasn’t doing it for the sake of competition. She explained,
“I wasn’t really in a race against anything but my own will: Would I make it without stopping, without walking, without stopping to pee: My goal was not to do any of those things, and I didn’t!”
Teri has never been one to diet but she is sure to follow a healthy eating plan. She may put brown sugar on her oatmeal but she’ll top it off with fresh blueberries. But she’s not much of a sweet tooth so she’s more likely to have extra pasta instead of go for the chocolate.
