Tracy Effinger: Workout

She’s worked with rapper Eve, Amy Brenneman and Sela Ward, and now personal trainer Tracy Effinger is sharing her tips with everyone who wants to get in shape but isn’t a fan of going to gym.
One of Effinger’s tips is to get out of the gym completely and take a really fun dance class somewhere else, or even join an outdoor hiking group. Roping a friend into your routine can help sustain your motivation levels too.
If the only reason you’re avoiding the gym is because you don’t know how to work the machines, Effinger says you should either get a personal trainer to assist or if you’re on a budget, sign up for a body sculpting class.
But Effinger’s biggest tip is to make working out and getting fit fun. Run with a friend, walk with a group, hike with family members or join a dance class with your significant other are just a few of her suggestions.
“The idea is that by doing something physical, each time it is something you own and that you create,” Effinger told The Examiner.com. “It is something that comes from inside you and is done by you – you own it, it is yours.”
