Vanessa Williams: Diet & Exercise

Vanessa Williams, the 46-year-old actress on Ugly Betty recently revealed all to Us Magazine about her diet and exercise regimen. While filming Williams uses the same meal delivery service as Jennifer Lopez and Mel B use, Freshology. The company has a Get Slim Plan where clients eat 1,200 to 1,400 calories a day. Here’s a glimpse at what a typical menu would look like for one day on the Freshology plan:

Breakfast – Granola with yogurt and fresh seasonal fruit
Lunch – Pan seared white fish with seasonal vegetables
Dinner – Grilled steak with red wine demi-glace and steamed asparagus
Dessert – Dark chocolate brownie

The mother of four said that for her the most important thing she can do is exercise because even though she knows she’s getting older exercise is what will make her look her best. She said,

“I don’t weigh myself. I’d rather look in the mirror and say, ‘Do I look fit?’”

How does Williams stay fit? Three times a week she does weight training and cardio sessions with personal trainer, Sal Gaglio and she also does yoga and a fun salsa workout called, Zumba.

Williams recently released her eighth studio album and she’ll be back for the next season of Ugly Betty which premieres on October 16th.
