Controversial yes. Effective no. Believe it or not this is actual advertising for a gastric bypass surgery center. Equating obesity with suicide bombers is not only in poor taste, but bad business. If you thought this was bad, it only gets worse.

Diet pills…
What were these ad guys thinking? Obesity is suicide? This is suicide for the gastric bypass surgery center!

Yes we all know that morbid Obesity is dangerous but to equate it and high light it this way is outrageous and that to by a medical center. Stop it immediately

This makes me sick. Sometimes being overweight is NOT willful, as these ads imply. Does anybody really think I WANT to be obese (or most other people for that matter)? I’ve considered having gastric bypass in the past but these ads sure wouldn’t convince me to do it. On the contrary, they made up my mind NOT to have it.

Are you kidding??!! I have been on a diet my whole life with full understanding of what my weight was doing to me. Trying everything and having the disappointment of it not working. These ads are no different than the bullies from school making fun of the fat kids.These ads are born from ignorance and prejudice. I hope someone in that facility finds another way to explain to morbitly obsese people how Gastric By-pass can improve their lives. I have lost 35 lbs in 6 weeks, something I have never accomplished in a year.

wow. these ads are funny. funny because they are so stupid. i cant believe a firm would let these get through, havnet they heard of focus groups. lol.
while i dont think they are effective, i dont think theres any reason to get so upset like some of you are getting. i am a big gy, 345 lbs, but c’mon you guys are obviously emotionally scared and need to not let things like this effect you so much.
wheever gave these ads a go are morons. gastruc bypass is one of several solutions, but not THE only solution for obese individuals such as myself.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS PICTURES AND ADS. Do they really think stuff like this will help people lose weight. I am very offened to even have this page in my home. Like we don’t know we have aproblem everyday when we wake up like we need a reminder. You know what america is sooo concerned about everyone being over weight yet they still have fast food and sell junk food. Thanks for caring so much about the people america. You know if this people that make this ads would take the money they waste putting these ads out and help obese people trying to lose weight get the surgery they need america would be more healthy. There are people out there that has tried everything possible to lose weight and nothing has helped. So next time this people advertising stupid stuff like this should just take there money and flush it down the toilet because thats the only place it ends up anyway, like this ad.
