Zach Efron: Diet and Exercise

Zac Efron seems to be everywhere these days. If he’s not on the red carpet he’s either making a movie, giving an interview on television, or modeling for a magazine cover. This week People Magazine caught up with him to discuss his new movie, 17 Again, but Zac also talked a little bit about his diet and exercise regimen. He said,
“I like backpacking, hiking, surfing, swimming, playing tennis – things that get you active and are also fun. If I do go to the gym I usually do circuit training. If you’re skinny, you should never stop eating. The problem is: a lot of people mistake that for permission to eat junk food. I try not to eat anything that’s packaged. Of course, I never succeed.”
To get an idea of his eating habits, People Magazine asked Zach what he had for breakfast the morning of the interview. He replied,
“It was in a hotel. I had poached eggs on white toast with ketchup, and then I had oatmeal, and then a strawberry banana smoothie.”
On a side note, he was asked what he would eat if could only eat one thing for the rest of his life and he confessed it would simply be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a glass of milk.

Zac hit the nail on the head when he mentioned that he avoids eating “anything that’s packaged.” The less foods you consume that have bar codes on them, the healthier you become and the more weight you’ll lose. It’s really as simple as that. Way to go Zac!
