Zoë Saldana: Pilates and Dance

Zoë Saldana is one of the sexy new crew members of Star Trek. She has a great body, positive outlook and surely the Trekkies of the world can’t get enough of her intergalactic beauty. In an interview with Women’s Health Magazine she told readers a bit about her workout routine. Even though she is super busy these days being on the fast track to stardom she still finds exercise to be a very important part of her life. Primarily, she does Pilates three times a week but also has a workout with a trainer. In regard to Pilates she said,
“It’s the closest thing to dance.”
Considering that Zoë studied ballet for years as a child and her first big role was as a ballerina in the 2000 movie Center Stage, it makes sense that she likes Pilates. The actress did admit that she needs a trainer to keep her going in the gym:
“I get bored really easily. If I didn’t have a trainer to push me, I’d go walk for about 15 minutes,” she says, groaning. “But I love feeling in tune with my body and eating right.”
The thirty-year-old also said that she doesn’t do crash diets and won’t deprive herself of food:
“Sometimes I pig out on pasta, but that’s OK,” she says, staring lovingly at the lobster ravioli on her plate. “The next day, I just eat healthy.”
