Zoe Saldana Talks Fitness

Ever wonder what Zoe Saldana‘s secrets are for maintaining a rockin’ body?  Well, you need not wonder any more because she’s dishing her secrets.

She avoids temptation by giving herself incentives and the biggest incentive is being able to participate in some sight seeing activities while traveling as she makes her films and promotes them.

I’m going to these exotic, beautiful places, and I definitely want to eat everything,” she says. “If I start in an unhealthy state, I’m going to feel twice as guilty. And I like to give myself the opportunity to really have fun.”

In order to start healthy and stay healthy, fitness has become a regular part of her entire lifestyle.  This is something she has learned from experience.

You really have to nurture your body,” she explains. “I have a lot of respect for people who do it, because it’s a lifestyle.”

To help her maintain this lifestyle she uses a personal trainer who has taught her that she must always treat her body with respect and kindness.

I don’t like when my body feels exhausted or full or just tired and mistreated. My trainer really is respectful, but also pushy–I’m very stubborn and very dominant and, so that’s the only way that I get to really give in. To him, it’s not just to make you look good, it’s about finding a way to give you good habits,” she says.

To her, treating her body with respect means not giving in to every little craving.  This is not to say that she does not indulge every now and then, however, but she eats healthy more often than not and very rarely indulges.

When you don’t have to worry about the body and you’re eating well and you’re respecting your body, the brain is so much sharper and so are your emotions.”

These are definitely words of wisdom from the actress that everyone can certainly live by!

Today we really need to take care of our body. I think nowadays its necessary to apply the proper diet to keep away from sickness and any known illness.
